ReThink Recovery
SOLO EXHIBIT at Lakeshore Art Gallery November 7 – December 2, 2017.
Opening Reception: Thursday, November 9, 2017. 6-9pm. 2422 Lakeshore Blvd. West, Toronto.
Four years in the making, ReThink Recovery is a 20-piece visual art exhibition that chronicles in real-time the guideposts I created along my journey of recovery from a concussion. According to medicine, I continue to live in-between the spaces of diagnosis and cure, still waiting to be "recovered". Through evolving interactive components, this show invites visitors to witness, feel and experience recovery as a multi-faceted evolving process, rather than as a static end goal. It invites participants to question: what is lost and what is gained when we let go of perfect?
This show is fully accessible: including wheelchair access, audio description, live guided tours (select times), touch and multi-sensory components and interactive workshop experiences – allowing for audiences to experience the art in multiple ways. For more information or to make access requests, please visit www.lakeshorearts.ca or call 416-201-7093.
The Gallery is a scent-free environment, kindly refrain from wearing any perfumes or scented products.

ReThink Recovery PRESS RELEASE - OCT 19 |
Paint, clay, film, and ink meet to show how the fractured and disjointed can come together in harmony. The breath of mediums and techniques used throughout this body of work parallels the diversity of each of our lived human experiences. While each piece individually tells its own story, they all collectively tell one story: through the inevitable transformations and changes we endure we still live the same life, all part of the same story.
